Katherine and Ray raise their three children in their self converted school tour bus. Together, they form a nomadic eclectic rock music band. In the fall of 2011, their bus was parked a block north of where we lived, in the Mile-End neighborhood of Montreal. My daughter played with their kids in the lot where they rehearsed. Their door was open to anyone who wanted to drop by for a chat. When spring came, they left. What remains is Katray, a personal account of a temporary encounter with a fierce and delicate way of life.
